Dubsado's Weekly Jams - April 23rd

We’ve got a special one for you this week! So movies are something we often talk about at the office. We find ourselves deep in conversation about how good a movie was, arguing about what is better or worse, and quoting our favorite lines.  After some time, we realized we needed to put together a list of the most iconic movie soundtrack tunes.  (Needless to say, this is just some of our faves. This is not a definitive list in any way haha)

How To Master Writing Your Business Story in 5 Steps

Your best story involves not just the fun, but the falls. You can love coffee sure (it's the greatest thing on earth, of course) but why do you need that coffee so desperately? How many sleepless nights, approaching deadlines and crying children make consuming 6 cups a day necessary? Trust that your story, in it's ups and downs, is worth getting behind.

We’re hoping this one will bring back some old memories for you!

Why Disappointment Can Be Good For Your Business

We all dread disappointment. We get our hopes up for the perfect outcome, and when it doesn’t arrive, we feel completely at a loss. Maybe (in a very profound way) we need to feel that confusion, that despair, that frustration.

After all, sometimes unpleasant things are good for us in the long run, and so it is with disappointment (unlike mandatory childhood cabbage, which I maintain should be criminal).

Mastery

Mastery is elusive. It's always right in front of us. Similar to a carrot in front of the horse, we keep reaching forward, hoping to close the gap between where our skills are and where we hope them to be.

Three Habits Hurting Your New Business Goals

Think about it, you start the new year feeling excited to accomplish the big goals, to do the things you’ve never done and to get work done like never before. Before you know it, old habits creep in and you find yourself settling for whatever you get, versus working strategically for what you want. We are TWO!

We are really here...year two!  I love looking back at the very early stages of Dubsado because so much of the growth and struggles we've seen in our business are metaphors for what happens in our lives. Growing a business is just like raising a kid. The first 6 months you're not going to get a whole lot of sleep.
